Service Description

This weekend practical training in Brighton develops understanding of how to observe the movements and restrictions in the body and explores when and how to support clients in connecting deeper with their body using touch. After the positive feedback received after the one day workshop in September we have expanded the workshop to a full weekend. On the Sunday we will bring together new skills with one to one and small group practical process. The weekend will explore the following through demonstration, practical sessions in pairs and discussion: - Negotiating relational space and the use of presence - Negotiating touch - How to touch - Dosing - Key touch interventions - Considerations on when to use touch - Practical experiential sessions and group processing Takeaways include enhanced relational attunement, confidence in exploring allowing versus interpretation & intervention, when to use touch in sessions within a framework of regulation and relationship, confidence in ‘holding bodies’ when using touch and a deepening of personal process.
